The Climate Change Expert Group (CCXG) Global Forum was held on 18-19 September 2013 at the OECD Conference Center, Paris (France).
This seminar organised by the OECD and the IEA aimed to promote dialogue and enhance understanding between a wide range of countries on technical issues in the international climate change negotiations. This seminar is an informal meeting outside of the UNFCCC negotiations and discussions were non-attributed. |

Focus |
This breakout group focused on the topic of climate finance effectiveness. The first two parts began by considering how different communities view “effectiveness”, at what level(s) effectiveness is considered, and how different objectives are balanced. The final part focused on how effectiveness can be tracked and assessed, specifically in the context of mitigation. |

Focus | The focus of this session was on mitigation commitments for the post-2020 period. The first part of the session aimed to explore what types of commitments might be proposed and the information that would be needed to understand them. The second part focus on the possible process for establishing commitments for the 2015 agreement. The third part was an open discussion picking up on issues raised in Parts 1 and 2. |
