Roundtable on 18 March 2009

OECD, Conference Centre, 2 rue André Pascal, Paris 16

The Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development, in conjunction with the University of Maryland, is convening an international conference on European perspectives on poverty, inequality and social exclusion, currently scheduled to be held in Paris on March 16-17.  The purpose of the conference is to bring together leading scholars from Europe as well as from North America whose research focuses on measures of poverty, inequality and social exclusion along with their uses in policy.  The papers presented at the conference will be published by the Oxford University Press in an edited volume. The volume is intended to provide a high level reflection of the European perspective on measures of poverty and inequality and their uses in a policy context for academic and policymaking communities interested in the topic.
