Mid-term performance evaluation of the USAID/West Africa Gambia-Senegal sustainable fisheries program : final report
This is a report on the mid-term evaluation of the Gambia-Senegal Sustainable Fisheries Program funded by USAID/West Africa. The project was implemented in The Gambia and Senegal by the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center and the World Wildlife Fund. Per the requirements of USAID, this evaluation report covers The Gambia, where the majority of the on-the-ground activities occur, but not Senegal.

The Role of the IMF As Trusted Advisor - RITA
This evaluation examines in what circumstances the Fund is viewed as a trusted advisor to its member countries. It uses evidence gathered since 2005, but emphasizes the period since the onset of the global crisis in 2007–08. Because the concept of trusted advisor is “in the eyes of the beholder,” the evaluation derives the main attributes from country authorities themselves.

International Reserves: IMF Concerns and Country Perspectives
In 2009-10, IMF Management advanced the argument that excessive reserve accumulation was jeopardizing the stability of the international monetary system. This evaluation traces the evolution of this thinking, in particular how it relates to the Fund’s longerstanding concern about the risks from global imbalances, and discusses reasons for the shift towards stressing the risks posed by excessive reserve accumulation.

DFID’s Oversight of the EU’s Aid to Low-Income Countries
At a policy level, DFID has a clear focus for its engagement with the EU. There is limited evidence, however, of DFID’s influence on the delivery of EU aid on the ground. Co-operation with the EU centrally is good but the EU is treated by DFID’s country offices as another donor rather than as a route for achieving DFID’s goals.

Nordic Influence in Multilateral Organizations: A Finnish Perspective
This study discusses how the Nordic countries, through their joint efforts, have influenced the policies, decision-making and work in the World Bank and the African Development Bank over a period of six years, from 2006 to 2011. These Banks receive the highest joint commitment by the Nordic countries as compared to the other multilateral development banks.

Nordic influences on Gender Policies and Practices at the World Bank and the African Development Bank: A Case study
This study has ascertained the usefulness of promoting gender equality through all available mechanisms in each of the two organizations at the appropriate policy level. The different entry points are the Executive Boards, the Board of Governors, the Replenishment negotiations mechanisms, senior management levels and operational managers at headquarters and in the field.

Independent Evaluation of Delivering as One
This report summarizes the work of the independent evaluation of lessons learned from the Delivering as One (DaO) pilot countries. The Delivering as One approach emerged from a process of intergovernmental decision-making on the UN system’s operational activities. Triennial comprehensive policy review resolutions adopted in 2001, 2004 and 2007 called for a strengthening of the UN development system.
