The 2017 Annual meeting of the GREEN Action Programme Task Force took place on 26-27 October in Almaty, Kazakhstan at Rixos hotel and was held back-to back with the OECD Eurasia Week (23-26 October).

The meeting brought together Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) and OECD countries as well as partner organisations, NGOs and representatives of private sector. It was also designed to provide an opportunity to report on progress in implementing the GREEN Action Programme work programme since the last meeting held in November 2016 in Paris.

 

This year’s meeting focused on the following themes:

• Infrastructure investment and the low-carbon transition; 
• Strengthening water management and increasing productivity of key sectors (including agriculture);
• Institutional capacity for cross-Ministerial policy coordination for Green Growth;
• One Belt one Road initiative: Implications for EECCA; 
• Environmental policy tools for green economy; and
• Education, communication and public awareness for green growth.
