Cameroon - African Economic Outlook 2006 country study

  • In 2005, the country recorded modest growth of 2.8 per cent (down from 3.5 per cent in 2004).
  • Cameroon’s transport system is reasonably diversified and complementary but infrastructure is inadequate and often in a bad state.
  • With Cameroon expected to reach its HIPC completion point in 2006, the country can be considered to have reached a turning point.
