8th Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Law Enforcement Network

 

 25-27 October 2017  Baku, Azerbaijan

On 25-27 October 2017, Azerbaijan will host the next Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) Law Enforcement Network Meeting.

The meeting will provide a forum to share experiences and discuss practical tools for detecting, investigating and prosecuting corruption crimes, and will focus on the following topics:

  • modern methods for recovery and confiscation of proceeds of corruption;
  • challenges and solutions for ensuring independence of prosecutors;
  • effective international cooperation in corruption cases; and
  • good practices in training of financial investigations for law enforcement practitioners.

The meeting will convene national authorities in charge of investigating and prosecuting corruption-related crimes that involve confiscation and asset recovery in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including specialized anti-corruption prosecutors and investigators, along with other relevant authorities.

The meeting is co-organised by the OECD and Azerbaijan's Anti-Corruption Directorate with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
