OECD Climate Change

OECD Task Force on Climate Change Adaptation

The OECD established its Task Force on Climate Change Adaptation (TFCCA) in 2019. It brings together policy makers and adaptation experts from over 70 countries and organisations to promote concrete solutions and accelerate policy action on climate adaptation.

Aims of the Task Force

The OECD Task Force on Climate Change Adaptation provides a platform to discuss and:

  • exchange experiences, best practices and the latest research on climate change adaptation and resilience;

  • provide guidance on OECD work priorities;

  • develop and share policy analysis and practical guidance that can inspire and support countries’ implementation of national adaptation policies.

Recent meeting

Fifth meeting of the OECD Task Force on Climate Change Adaptation, 28 - 29 November 2022

The fifth Meeting of the Task Force on Climate Change Adaptation (TFCCA) brought together about 100 participants to discuss the interim outcomes of the key ongoing adaptation projects and priorities of work going forward in 2023-2024, and learn about delegates’ recent adaptation developments. The OECD was honoured to host the horizon-scanning intervention of Prof. Michael Oppenheimer, who stressed the barriers that have to be overcome to achieve adaptation at the scale needed.
