OECD LEED Trento Centre Action Space

Background information

Inspiring innovation in policy and local action

Since 2003 the OECD LEED Trento Centre has been successfully involved in building local development capacity in OECD member and non-member countries.

The Centre’s main objectives are:

  • to improve the dissemination capacity of best practices in the design and implementation of local development strategies and facilitate the transfer of expertise and exchange of experience;
  • to improve the quality of public policy in economic, labour market and social areas, implemented at the local level;
  • to strengthen the relationship between policy makers, local development practitioners and the scientific community.

The Action Space

With these objectives in mind, the Trento Centre created an Action Space in order to widely disseminate recommendations and lessons learned from the OECD LEED Trento Centre country reviews in the areas of local governance, entrepreneurship and social inclusion. Selected international learning models are presented with the aim to inspire policy and practice innovation.

The audience

The target audience of the Action Space are practitioners, policy makers, members of the private sector, the civil society and the other actors of local development.
