Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Montreal from 12 to 15 June 2016

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Montreal from 12 to 15 June 2016 to attend the Conference of Montreal “Shaping a New Era of Prosperity”, organised by the International Economic Forum of the Americas.


At the Conference, the Secretary-General delivered remarks at the International Pension Conference of Montreal (IPCM) Session “Low Rates of Return: How to ensure that Retirement Systems are Sustainable and Effective”, at the Round-Table “Facing Disruption: Managing Innovation” and at a luncheon session on “Prospering in a Low-Growth Era”.


While in Montreal, the Secretary-General presented the 2016 OECD Economic Survey of Canada, alongside Mr. William Francis Morneau, Minister of Finance of Canada, and released a report on employment in Montreal with Mr. Denis Coderre, Mayor of Montreal. Lisez son discours en français.
