OECD Secretary General Angel Gurría in Canada on 13-14 June - Economic Survey of Canada and Employment and Skills Strategy in Montreal

8/6/2016 - The latest OECD Economic Survey of Canada, to be published on Monday 13 June, discusses how the Canadian economy is adjusting to the fall in commodity prices. The Survey assesses future growth and employment prospects as the economy shifts toward non-resource-based activity, including policies for accompanying this transition. Special chapters focus on reforms to stimulate competition in network sectors and boost productivity through greater small business dynamism.

OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will present the Survey with Canadian Finance Minister Bill Morneau on 13 June in Montreal, during a press conference starting at 10:00 local time (14:00 GMT) at the Conference of Montreal - International Economic Forum of the Americas (Salle Fontaine G, Hôtel Bonaventure, 900, rue de la Gauchetière Ouest, Montréal).

The Survey will be available, in English and French, to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 14:00 GMT for immediate release. Create your MyOECD account here.
