Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, at webinar Japan after the COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Role in the Indo-Pacific Region, 28 April 2021

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, delivered remarks at the Japan after the COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Role in the Indo-Pacific Region webinar, organised by the Foreign Press Centre Japan, on 28 April 2021.

In his speech, the Secretary-General looked back on the past 15 years and the changes which occurred in the Japanese economy. He also discussed on such topics as Japan after the COVID-19 pandemic and the role of the digital transformation, and how Japan can contribute to the development in the Indo-Pacific region and to fighting climate change.

Mr. Angel Gurría also delivered remarks in a virtual ceremony for the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the OECD and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).
