Webinar: Gender Equality in Education

Join us for a Webinar on Gender Equality in Education on March 5 at 11:00am ET  at the OECD Washington Center.

With gender equity on the front burner of public debate, a new report from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) provides a timely glimpse at the issue through the lens of public schools. The report, based on new analysis of the most recent PISA assessment, includes specific data on gender disparities in achievement by U.S. students.

The ABC’s of Gender Equality in Education: Aptitude, Behavior, Confidence” examines the reasons for and impact of the different performances of girls and boys at school and what parents, teachers and employers can do to narrow the gender gaps. The report focuses on underperformance among boys, lack of self-confidence among girls, and family, school and societal influences before addressing policies to help boys and girls reach their full potential.
