OECD Expert Briefing: Economic Survey of Canada

 

Join us for a presentation of the latest OECD report on the Canadian economy on June 21 at the OECD Washington Center, followed by reaction from a panel of experts.

Every two years, the OECD releases an in-depth analysis of the Canadian economy and gives recommendations for economic policy. The latest edition of the OECD Economic Survey of Canada covers macroeconomic developments, monetary policy, financial market regulation, fiscal policy and environmental measures. Special chapters in the 2016 Survey focus on competition in network industries, strengthening the internal market and boosting productivity through greater small business dynamism.
 
Please join us as David Carey, one of the report's lead authors, presents its findings by live video from OECD headquarters. Panelists will include Gilles Gauthier,Minister of Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Canada, Dr. Christopher Sands, Director of the Center for Canadian Studies at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and Dr. Laura Dawson, Director of the Canada Institute at the Wilson Center

The Economic Survey of Canada is a biennial report that examines recent economic developments, policies and prospects.
