Venue and Practical Information

 

Location

The OECD Regional Forum on Trade Facilitation will be held at the
PROTEA HOTEL VICTORIA JUNCTION, GREEN POINT, CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

Participants are invited to arrive early to facilitate registration which will start at 8H30 on Wednesday, 11th June 2008. Participants are requested to present a passport or other identification containing a photograph. Badges will be issued entitling admission to the conference.

 

Visa Requirements

There may be visa requirements for citizens of some countries to enter South Africa. Please contact your local Embassy for information regarding visa requirements. The OECD cannot help with the issuance of visas but can provide you with a letter informing the local authorities of your participation in the Regional Forum if needed.

 

Documentation

Speakers’ documents and background documents will be placed on the website as they become available.

 

Procedural Arrangements

The conference will start at 9.00 a.m. with opening addresses on behalf of the South Africa Revenue Service as well as the OECD. The conference will conclude on 12th June 2008 at 5.30 p.m.

There will be coffee and tea breaks over the duration of the conference. Lunch on both days is offerered by the organisers.

 

Hotel

Participants are requested to make their own travel and hotel arrangements. A specially negotiated room rate of R955.00 (single, including breakfast excluding 1% tourist tax) is available at the Protea Hotel Vicotria Juncition. Participants are advised to make their reservation before 10th May 2008 quoting the reference #320201.

ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE KINDLY REQUESTED TO PAY THEIR ACCOMMODATION COSTS DIRECTLY TO THE HOTEL. THE OECD WILL NOT PRE-PAY ANY ACCOMMODATION COSTS.
