James is 26 and is from Leicester in England.  Currently he is based at the University of Bristol in the Graduate School of Education Centre for Globalisation, Education and Societies (http://www.bris.ac.uk/education/research/centres/ges) where he is a PhD candidate in the Europeanisation and Globalisation of Higher Education.  Previous to this he was at the University of Bradford where he completed a masters degree in International Development Studies.  In 2001 he was appointed as a committee member of ESIB-The National Unions of Students in Europe and was re-elected in 2003, working on topics such as: the brain drain, GATS, Bologna Process and with international organisations such as the OECD and the EU as well as student, university and governmental bodies.  He will finish his commitments to ESIB in 2005 and will focus more fully on the various ways that education policies are being rescaled at the European and global levels and their implications.  Current higher education related interests include: the Bologna Process, the GATS, Brain Drain, UK, Slovene, Serbian and Kosovo reforms.
