PISA 2015: Q&A Webinar
Gender differences in education through the lens of PISA 2015
Coming up next in our OECD Education and Skills Webinar Series, Yuri Belfali, Head of the Early Childhood and Schools Division in the OECD Directorate for Education and Skills, and Francesca Borgonovi, Senior Analyst in the PISA team, will present what we know about gender gaps from the latest edition of PISA and discuss some of the policies and practices that could enhance gender equality.

Over the past decades many countries have been successful in closing gender gaps in academic achievement. PISA reveals that boys and girls generally perform at the same level in science. However, gender differences remain in science performance among the highest achieving students and even among boys and girls that are equally proficient in science, their attitudes towards learning and aspirations for their future are different.

Webinar participants will find more information about this topic in our newest PISA in Focus: What kinds of careers in science do 15-year-old boys and girls expect for themselves?

Participants will have the opportunity to pose questions during the webinar. Questions can also be sent in advance of the session, using the #OECDPISA hashtag on Twitter and via the OECD PISA Learning Community.

When: Wednesday, 8 March, at 17:00 Paris time
