Financing SMEs and Entrepreneurs 2024: An OECD Scoreboard monitors SME and entrepreneurship financing trends, conditions and policy developments in close to 50 countries. 

The Recommendation on SME financing was adopted by the OECD Council meeting at Ministerial level on 8 June 2023 on the proposal of the Committee on SMEs and Entrepreneurship (CSMEE).

Ministers endorsed the OECD Declaration on Enhancing SMEs and Entrepreneurship Policies for Greater Resilience and Successful Green and Digital Transitions during the last SME & Entpreneurship Ministerial meeting held in Paris at the OECD Headquarters 27-28 June 2023.

The OECD SME and Entrepreneurship Outlook 2023 provides new evidence on recent trends in SME performance, changing business conditions, and policy implications. It reflects on the broad underlying theme of SME integration into a series of networks, including global production and supply-chain networks and the role of women led-businesses in international trade.

On 27-28 June 2023, Ministers from OECD countries and invited non-OECD economies, alongside partner International Organisations and experts, gathered at the OECD Headquarters in Paris for the OECD SME and Entrepreneurship Ministerial Meeting.

OUT NOW: SMEs in the era of hybrid retail, Evidence from an OECD D4SME survey

The CFE has launched a new joint activity based on the Inclusive Entrepreneurship. This new project - called Youth Entrepreneurship Policy Academy - aim to create a network of young entrepreneurs and how the governments can help them in creating their businesses.

This report examines how government policies can release untapped entrepreneurial potential from under-represented parts of the population of impactful entrepreneurs, including women, youth, seniors, the unemployed, immigrants and people with disabilities.

Lauched on 5 December 2023 at COP28, this report presents the results of an OECD survey of public and private financial institutions conducted by the by the OECD Platform on Financing SMEs for Sustainability.
