The PCSD Partnership (#SDGAction12066) in collaboration with the OECD will host an interactive session bringing together representatives from governments, civil society and international and research organisations as part of the 2018 HLPF SDGs Learning, Training & Practice organised by UNDESA and UNITAR (9-13 July 2018).
This session will provide an opportunity to:
The learning session will start with an interactive panel discussion on the challenges countries face and their need for tools and capacity building. It will followed by three series of short presentations. Experts and PCSD Partners will present available tools, methods and initiatives for: a) analysing interlinkages between SDGs; b) integrating SDGs into national implementation strategies, including strengthening institutional mechanism for PCSD; and c) assessing and tracking progress in policy coherence for SDG implementation. The discussions will address among other issues the critical interactions between the SDGs, particularly interlinkages among the subset of SDGs under 2018 HLPF review:
The learning session will serve to identify relevant training material to be considered in an online course module on policy and institutional coherence for sustainable development. The online course module will be developed in consultation with the stakeholders and the HLPF Secretariat.
