Towards Recovery and Partnership with Citizens: The Call for Innovative and Open Government

Venice, Italy - 15 November 2010

 

This meeting focused on how governments will work in the future, how they will improve public sector efficiency, and how they can interact more effectively with markets and citizens to contribute to a stronger, cleaner and fairer economy.

This Ministerial-level meeting was hosted by the Italian Government, and chaired by Mr. Renato Brunetta, the Italian Minister of Public Administration and Innovation.

The meeting identified practical solutions for fostering proactive and open governments.

 

Meeting sessions covered topics such as:

  • Delivering better public services under fiscal pressure,
  • Towards a more effective and performance-oriented public service,
  • Promoting open and transparent government,
  • Delivering on the challenges to build anticipatory and open governments.
