Country Reports l Global Report

 

The first Monitoring Survey of the Fragile States Principles provides evidence of the quality of international engagement based on national consultations with Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Sierra Leone and Timor-Leste across the areas of diplomacy, development and security. Published in six Country Reports and a Global Report, the survey was launched at a joint event of the OECD and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. on 26 February 2010.

 

The Country Reports provide a picture of areas of progress and bottlenecks in each participating country to feed into country-level planning.
 
Each Country Report is drafted and validated under the joint responsibility -- in each country -- of the National Co-ordinator for Monitoring of the Principles for Good International Engagement, and the International Focal Point.
 
For each participating country, a Country Report is drafted on the basis of the consultation and complementary interviews, circulated in-country for comments (Summer 2009), validated (Fall 2009), published and made available at the Directors-level meeting of the OECD International Network on Conflict and Fragility (INCAF), February 2010.
 
The Monitoring Survey of the Fragile States Principles involves two rounds of consultations, in 2009 and 2011. The results are compiled by the OECD DAC Secretariat in two Global Reports that draw on findings from the six Country Reports to provide global recommendations for consideration by the international community. The Global Reports will be part of the package presented at the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (Seoul, 2011).
