Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD in Athens, 18-19 March 2019

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD was in Athens, on 18-19 March 2019, to attend the OECD Ministerial Meeting of the Regional Development Policy Committee (RDPC) on “Megatrends: Building better futures for regions, cities and rural areas”, the 7th OECD Roundtable of Mayors and Ministers and the 4th Meeting of Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth.


The Secretary-General delivered Opening Remarks at the 4th Meeting of Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth. He also delivered remarks at the opening session of the 7th OECD Roundtable of Mayors and Ministers, on “Mayors, Ministers, Megatrends: Principles for Collective Action”.


Mr. Angel Gurría opened the OECD Ministerial Meeting of the Regional Development Policy Committee, on “The geography of global megatrends”, where he chaired the Plenary session “Looking Back, Looking Ahead”.


The Secretary-General presented, at a press conference, the Preliminary Findings of the “Territorial Review of Greece” alongside Mr. Yannis Dragasakis, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development of Greece.


While in Athens, Mr. Angel Gurría held bilateral meetings with several high-level officials.
