Launch of the new OECD Jobs Strategy

On 4 December 2018, two events were organised in Paris to launch the new OECD Jobs Strategy:

2nd High-Level Policy Forum

(Morning event)

 

The High-Level Policy Forum on the new OECD Jobs Strategy is jointly organised by the French Ministries of Labour and of Economy and Finance, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The Forum will be hosted by Minister Muriel Pénicaud together with Secretary-General Angel Gurría on 4 December 2018 at the French Ministry of Labour in Paris.


During the Forum, Ministers of Labour, Employment, and Finance and renowned experts will discuss the main policy messages of the new OECD Jobs Strategy. The Forum will include a session on The new OECD Jobs Strategy: What is in it for you?, bringing together multiple stakeholders and experts, and a session on Recent country experiences consisting of a panel discussion by Ministers.

DARES/OECD Workshop “Implementing Labour Market Reforms”

(Afternoon event)

The DARES/OECD Workshop aims to generate fresh insights on the effective implementation of labour market reforms by bringing together leading academics, experts, and practitioners to discuss the following two themes:

  • How to build support for reforms that aim to tackle labour market duality?
  • How to effectively implement and evaluate adult learning systems?

The workshop will be held 4 December 2018 at the French Ministry of Labour in Paris.
