This Forum does not mark the end of a process. It was a key step aimed at sharing the main conclusions of our work on Mental Health and Work and to discuss where we stand, with the goal of connecting health policy makers and employment policy makers in order to discuss an issue that they can only solve together.

This paper presents an overview of the situation of youth in OECD countries since the financial crisis, describing the characteristics and living conditions of young NEETs. It provides data on income-support policies for young people, and summarises available evidence on the impact of interventions that aim at improving the social, education and employment situation of the most disadvantaged youth.

The purpose of this note is twofold. It first attempts to provide a “ballpark” estimate of the impact of the GS on employment given their estimated impact on growth. The second purpose is to put forward options for the consideration of the G20 Employment Working Group (EWG) for a mapping exercise to identify the coherence, complementarities and synergies between the measures put forward in the Growth Srategies and the Employment Plans.
