Who are today's teachers and what drives them?

The best education systems need competent, motivated teachers. So who are today's teachers and what drives them? To find out, the OECD surveyed over 100,000 teachers of children aged 11 to 16 in 34 countries and territories.

Key findings and the US case

On June 27th NCTAF and OECD presented the findings of the 2013 Teaching and Learning International Survey and, along with key partners, led a discussion about how teachers can use these data to help improve teaching and learning in the United States. The event archive features presentations from Andreas Schleicher and Linda Darling-Hammond, followed by a panel of practitioners, policymakers, and education leaders
