The expert roundtable was organised into two parts. The first part included a keynote address on today’s stock market structure and corporate governance arrangements by Mary L. Schapiro, former Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The keynote address was followed by a panel session on market-based financing of business investment.
The second part of the meeting was organised as a roundtable into four sessions. The roundtable addressed the equity market structure and trading practices, corporate ownership and control and the corporate governance framework in emerging markets.
