Untying aid: The right to choose – removing the legal and regulatory barriers to open competition for aid funded procurement – generally increases aid effectiveness by reducing transaction costs and improving the ability of recipient countries to set their own course.

Notifications of contract opportunities are financed from untied official development assistance (ODA) provided by member countries of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC). Publication of these untied aid contracts fall within the work of the DAC to untie procurement related aid to developing countries on the DAC List of Aid Recipients and specifically to the least developed (LDCs) and heavily indebted poor countries (HIPCs).

Contract information pertaining to the responsible Agency dealing with procurement is indicated on each untied aid notification.
