Promoting quality infrastructure for sustainable development through a trusted certification

About the BLUE DOT Network

The Blue Dot Network provides an internationally recognised certification for quality infrastructure projects that are environmentally and socially sustainable, resilient, open and transparent, and economically efficient.

Quality infrastructure investment is vital for sustainable economic development, combatting climate change and improving human well-being worldwide. A trusted certification will help increase the confidence of investors and other stakeholders in the robustness, resilience and sustainability of infrastructure projects.

The Blue Dot Network is supported by a global multi-stakeholder community committed to quality infrastructure that brings together all the relevant stakeholders including governments, investors, business, civil society and trade unions.

Certification

A Blue Dot certification designates a quality infrastructure project that has been developed in line with international standards. In order to be certified projects need to fulfil a core set of essential requirements across 10 BDN elements that encompass the key environmental, social and governance dimensions of quality infrastructure investment.

How to apply

To be considered for Blue Dot Network certification, projects should first apply by providing some basic information through the expression of interest form.

Applicants considered for certification will be invited to perform a self-assessment based on a template provided by the Secretariat.
