Non-label Mitigation

In addition to the mandatory and informational components of the pesticide label, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders can convey additional information that provides a broader picture of potential risk from the use of that product, and by providing such information risk can potentially be further mitigated. Best Management Practices (BMPs) information is one such example of non-label mitigation. BMPs, can cover a wide range of topics related to the safe use of a pesticide such as equipment, technology, routes of exposure, or IPM information.
