Nuestra misión es ayudar a los gobiernos a diseñar mejores políticas para una vida mejor, y la perspectiva del legislador es imprescindible para lograr ese objetivo.

    Inclusive Growth: The way forward for the US

    The enduring idea that the rising tide of economic growth lifts all boats is no longer a universal truth. In the US, even before the Great Recession, the poorest were steadily losing ground. Between 2000 and 2012 the average disposable income of the bottom 10% in the US fell by 14%, underlined the OECD Secretary-General.

    Over the past two decades, Canada has witnessed continued economic stability and progress despite the recent crisis that wreaked havoc in most other advanced economies. In fact, Canada has never had a banking crisis and has one of the highest levels of well-being, but challenges remain, said OECD Secretary-General.

    Launch of OECD report – The Cost of Air Pollution: Health Impacts of Road Transport

    New data collected by the World Health Organisation shows that outdoor air pollution kills over three and a half million people worldwide every year – far more than was previously estimated. Air pollution has now become the biggest environmental cause of premature death, overtaking poor sanitation and lack of clean drinking water, warned OECD Secretary-General at the International Transport Forum Summit.
