Naoko Kawaguchi

 

Naoko Kawaguchi is the Advisor to the Chief of Staff and Gender Advisor

In her role, she provides strategic support to the Chief of Staff on his engagements and provides advice on policy issues concerning gender equality and diversity, and gender mainstreaming across the Organisation.

She previously worked on the OECD’s engagement with the G20 and its stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of the Japanese Presidency as the Representative of the Sherpa office in Tokyo.

Prior to joining the OECD, she worked in the Foreign Ministry of Japan engaging in public diplomacy and bilateral relations from the Headquarters and the New York Embassy overseeing its communications and strategic relationship with US media and business.

Naoko holds an MA and MSc in History from Edinburgh University and MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge University.
